This week, I’m getting my toasty combination ingredients from www.fulfilme.com. This was my first time trying out a home-delivery service for groceries in the UAE. I went on their website to begin my online-grocery shopping service. The best of all, they provide SAME-DAY free deliveries for orders over 100dhs in Abu Dhabi.

Usability
I found the site to be clear and concise with appropriate categories. You can sort by brand, name or price. There were a few different fruits we could not find (for example strawberries was not available last week, but it is now available) on their website. When shopping for fruits and vegetables, almost everything went by a set weight so it was tough to determine that quantity I really needed without seeing the products. For example, avocados were priced at 8.75 dhs per 500 grm. I selected quantity of 1 – when the order came I actually got 2 very large avocados!
I really enjoyed the fact that I could set up my account and place things into my cart and come back to it later. I was able to shop for all of my items and allow my hubby to go on to the site and get him to pick up what he wants at a later time. We both saved our items to the same cart and was able to check out and select a convenient delivery date for us. I usually love to plan out my weeks in advance so I was even able to put in an order 5 days from when I ordered. On the site they provide FREE delivery for all orders over 100 dhs and even do same day delivery’s if ordered in the morning. Bests of all you can get your week’s grocery shopping done in the comfort of your own home and whichever time you’d like. I’m really digging the convenience of this.
Delivery & Service
There is a notes section in each of the delivery’s so I put a quick note saying they could leave the groceries at the door if no one is home. As I finally got home around 4pm, there were still no groceries left at my door so I ended up giving them a call to check on the status. The customer service was super helpful and advised the delivery was immediately going through. They had called earlier to my cell phone hoping to coordinate a delivery time. I think this is the norm in UAE for delivery guys to call before arriving.
The delivery man arrived and he brought in a dozen fulfilme red grocery bags. I really loved the service for delivering the bulky items. We stocked up on some water and detergent, those are usually a pain to carry up to our flat.
Food
I was estatic that our groceries this week was super effortless. The prices were quite affordable and the quality was not bad. All the groceries arrived fresh except for one avocado that was rotting on one end. I guess that is the downside of not being able to pick out your own fruits and veggies.
Overall, we had a great experience with fulfilme.com. The website was super easy to use, fast to order, and prices were affordable. Once you create an account, you will be given a 10% off coupon to use on your order (limited time promotion).
