Last night I was invited to enjoy evening delights at crowne plaza. Absolutely amazed by their decked out dessert night paired with free-flow prosecco! Saturday, the day before the first day of work, the last day of the weekend. (Yes, we have Friday and Saturday as the weekend in the UAE!) Some people dread the end of this day but Saturlaze at Finz gives us a reason to forget the countdown. It’s a time to sit back, relax and enjoy the good life, after all, it is still the weekend.

Prior to living in the United Arab Emirates, we were told that alcohol and pork were banned. Many years ago, that holds true but these days you can have access to these items at various outlets.

Here are the top 3 places to find pork in Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the U.A.E.

1. Large Supermarket Chains (Spinneys, Waitrose, Choithrams, Organic Foods and Cafe, etc.) However the pork meat is often located in a private signposted section of the supermarket.
2. Celebrations like Oktoberfest, its not a celebration without pork sausages!
