Healthy Dining Options at Trader Vic’s

Trader Vic’s | Beach Rotana

Last week we were invited to Beach Rotana, Trader Vic’s to try out some of the new dishes coming to their new menu. These dishes feature a few healthy options as many of them steamed using the finest ingredients. Chef Jimmy (24 years + at Beach Rotana!) especially impressed us with his grilling, and wok cooking skills. We also got an exclusive tour inside their ancient Chinese oven built especially for Trader Vic’s which resembles one from the Han Dynasty.

Here are some of the must orders when dining at Trader Vic’s.

Prawns and Hamachi Ceviche – great healthy starter with a mix of colors and fresh ingredients.

Mango Chili Beef Stir Fried – sweet and salty perfected dish

Juicy BBQ Miso Chicken – one of my favorite dishes here as the chicken is slow cooked for 6 + hours.

Jalapeno Cheese Balls – this is an old favorite and a crowd pleaser for all audiences

Beef Cho Cho – sure to impress any guest as they provide an interactive element for diners to roast their own beef cho cho skewer to their liking.

5 Spice-Shredded Duck – a variation of peking duck which is quality duck meat wrapped with veggies in a flat thin pancake smothered in hoisin sauce.

Beef Flambe – they bring this dish to your tableside with chefs dressed in a full suit to give you the full experience.

Trader Vic’s immersive experience offers cigar nights and family sharing style set menus as well. Their live cuban band plays on selected nights to bring entertainment right to your table! We can’t wait to be back.
