Location
The perfect location for a romantic date night out. Ritz-Carlton restaurants are all situations either right by the beach or by their grand canal. When we stepped into the villa, it was like we entered the renaissance era. Venetian-style buildings, flowing fountains and lush gardens made up this luxurious village. It will take your breath-away!
Service
I only have good things to say about their service, it was PERFECT at Barfly. Our hostess greeted us and seated us instantly in a beautiful table right by the water. Our waitress was so attentive to our table. As it was buffet service, she was always prompt to take away our empty plates and fold our napkins to await our return. Our drinks were always full and she remembered our drink of choice.
There were 3 chefs at the buffet bar who each had greeted me at some time during the night. I am surprised how friendly all the staff were, even the DJ had talked with me.
Food
For the buffet service, they had a large selection of appetizers ranging from mushroom caps to seaweed salad. Their cold watermelon soup is a must-try as well!
They feature their deep fried cod roll with a large dollop of mayo. I had this at Taste-Abudhabi and it was THE item which made me want to book my next dinner at Barfly. On display at the sashimi bar, they will only have the tuna and salmon sashimi, however, try asking the chefs for other options available.
For dessert I’d recommend their cream puffs. They were so light and not too sweet, I ate at least 3 of them! It was the perfect dessert item to end the night.
I had wish they had served green tea ice cream as part of their dessert offerings but that was extra cost. As well, we had opted for their alcoholic package option which did NOT include water or any soft drinks which I was surprised to hear. On their website it said their alcoholic package included free-flowing wine and sake, however we were not offered any sake but instead beer and liquor. Nonetheless, we had a great time with the free-flowing alcoholic package!
Cost
We had gone during their sushi sunday special priced at AED 165 per person.
