Shabby Chic Cafe

Shabby Chic Cafe, AL Nahyan, Abu Dhabi, UAE

I cannot believe its already 2018. The other day my husband and I were talking about eating more healthy this year and a tasting at Shabby Chic Cafe came just at the right time. We love this cafe because they have so many healthy choices & more at affordable prices in a lovely atmosphere. Read on further about my recent visit:

Atmosphere

This cafe is so welcoming with their different types of lounge and dining furniture. It invites guests to stay for a chat with friends, to work on their laptop or even hold group functions. You will have to see for yourself how they mix the new and old and give you a vibe of “your grandmother’s home”.

As Chef Walter mentioned, they menu is quite extensive. They have so many choices it can be pretty overwhelming. Thankfully their staff is quite knowledgeable and you can always ask for a recommendation. Their menu has been inspired by dishes all over the world, there is something for everyone.

Breakfast

If you want something you cannot get anywhere else, order yourself the Terwi A Plate (AED25). A lot of locals love to order this dish. The variety is complete with halloumi cheese, foul beans, olives, cucumber, labneh, zaatar, and saj bread. Best of all, all their breakfast choices are available all day long.

Appetizers

We opted their their Finger Steaks (AED 32) which came with a delicious peanut butter sauce! We also ordered a Chili Cheese Baked Potato (AED 28). I know, not completely healthy with the oozing cheese, but it was SO mouthwatering! The sauce complementing the topped vegetables made this dish remarkable. This was also super filling and I would come back again for more!

Mains

Their menu features over a dozen different salads! I decided to try the Phili Steak Sandwich (36 AED) as I could get it with a side salad anyway. The meat was cooked to perfection, so tender and juicy! I love how the menu outlines the number of calories per dish so that you know exactly what you are having.

We also had their Black Bay Salmon (65 AED) on a bed of sauteed couscous. It was quite delicious and the portion was pretty hefty. Be sure to eat this with their side sauce of lemon butter!

With such an extensive menu, we definitely have to be back to try out more. Shabby Chic currently runs a 15% off their online ordering menu via Zomato or you can also find it on Buy 1 Get 1 Main promotion off Entertainer!
