What a wonderful weekend we spent at Sofitel Hotel in Abu Dhabi on their Summer Staycation package. We celebrated our four year anniversary while we were there and the staff truly make it a memorable one. Prestige Suite
It was truly #TheSuiteLife when we checked into our Prestige Suite. The staff knew it was our anniversary and surprised us with some printed photos of us with an anniversary cake. We loved the personal Sofitel touches that make the staycation memorable. The suite itself was above and beyond our expectations. The suite itself features an impressive 78sqm of living space – with a separate living room with sofa. Each room has its own LCD screen TV, even on top of the bathtub! One of my highlights of the weekend was watching Expendables 2 while taking a nice bubbly bath!
They have ample closet space and covers all the amenities required for a relaxing weekend away. If you’re missing something, Sofitel also offers a butler service which you can reach via WhatsApp! They have a thorough bedtime “menu” as well to ensure you get the best sleep possible – offering pillow choices, night caps and complimentary eye masks/ear plugs.
Club Millesime
With a booking of any club room or suite, guests can get access to Club Millesime located on the 35th floor. Boasting magnificent views of the Corniche, Club Millesime is an exclusive experience to enjoy breakfast, canapes or a simple alcoholic or non alcoholic beverage. We went up there during sunset for the sublime views and was greeted with hot canapes and our drinks of choice.
Hotel Amenities
We didn’t get to try out all the hotel amenities but we went for the mandatory one, which is their pool! On a hot June day, the pool is the perfect place to relax and cool down. They have other amazing amenities that are accessible to their hotel guests like their soFIT gym, their sauna and steam room.
Dining Options
For our anniversary we dined at Grills @ Chill’O Restaurant which is poolside. Guests can opt to sit outside or in their enclosed room. We chose to sit inside, but the outside seating during the winter is really lovely. We had a really enjoyable anniversary dinner. Their foie was was delicious, the seafood tower impressible and their panna cotta remarkable.
Another great dining option at Sofitel is Parmigiana. They have a great indoor restaurant fitted with neat decors, fitted with black and white portraits and checkered tablecloths. The food there is also outstanding and they often have special curated menus once in a while.
